Fulbright Hint #2 – 2014
This is the 2nd Fulbright Hints Email for 2014:
• If you haven’t already done so – Start Your Application!
• Once you’ve registered as a Fulbright Applicant, read through the entire application and begin writing and gathering the materials that you need.
• If you need an institutional affiliation commitment letter (full research proposals) – start making your contacts immediately.
• IIE, the organization that administers the Fulbright, offers In-person Open Guidance Sessions in NYC and at their regional centers, as well as On-line Webnairs for applicants. To find out about the topics and dates of both the in-person and the on-line support offered by IIE, go to their website at: http://us.fulbrightonline.org/fulbright-us-student-program and look for “application tips” and “information sessions” under the “applicants” tab.
• SU will be offering writing workshops during the first couple weeks of the fall term – more info on that later. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions – email me (jlorourk@syr.edu), Kate Hanson (khanso01@syr.edu) or Prof. Susan Wadley (sswadley@syr.edu).
• Remember that the SU deadline is September 15th! You must email a PDF copy of your COMPLETE application by 5 p.m. on that date to jlorourk@syr.edu. (Your letters of recommendation will be due then too – however, I will obtain those from the on-line site.)
Enjoy the summer. I’ll be in touch
