Fulbrighters are Ambassadors for America who foster cultural exchange between their host and home countries. Since you are planning to be a cultural ambassador, you should become familiar with the media sources in your chosen host country. Plus, it’s fascinating to read about world and US events from a different perspective. Look for your host countries media sources on-line and also check out the BBC perspective at: http://www.bbc.com/

Avoid Disaster
This past weekend, one of your fellow applicants opened his on-line Fulbright application and it was… GONE!
Thank goodness it wasn’t really deleted, but it turns out that sometimes when you
a) use a different internet browser (e.g., Firefox instead of Safari),
b) clear your internet history and try to access your application, or
c) type in a wrong URL that is similar to your actual application
you wind up being taken to a new application.

So today’s VERY IMPORTANT HINT is … Save everything before you close out AND be sure to pay attention to how you are saving things so you can re-access them later! And if you have any technical issues with your Fulbright application, contact the Fulbright application support staff by going to the upper right corner of the application pages, clicking on “Help” and then clicking on “Submit a Request.” Be sure to fill out the email request completely and include a clear explanation of your problem.
