CFSA/SOURCE Emerging Research Fellow Lilyan “Lily” Minicozzi ’26 Featured in Syracuse University’s “Orange Stories”
Lilyan “Lily” Minicozzi ’26, an industrial and interaction design major with a minor in sustainability design recently shared information about her project, Full Circle, with Syracuse University's Rob Enslin for the series "Orange Stories." In the article, Lily discusses her research, which is co-funded by CFSA and SOURCE's Emerging Research Fellows Program. The ERF program provides students with two years of funding and support to pursue independent, faculty-mentored research in their field of study.
Primarily through ERF support, Lily's project explores "circular" design -- a model wherein products are designed to have a lifespan that extends beyond their original purpose. As an avid outdoors person who grew up on the edge of the Adirondacks, she is especially interested in finding ways to integrate circular design into hiking and outdoor equipment.
