CFSA / SOURCE Recognize Faculty Mentors and Celebrate Students at Orange Talks & Awards Ceremony
On Thursday, March 26th, CFSA and SOURCE gathered faculty, students and staff in the Biology Department's Lundgren Room for the SOURCE/CFSA Orange Talks & Awards Ceremony. The program, held from 4-6pm, included Ted-style "Orange" talks from 4 student researchers, and the presentation of awards to faculty on behalf of both SOURCE and CFSA.
The student speakers included:
- Anna Meehan, a senior majoring in Music History & Cultures; Russian Literature, Language, & Culture; and International Relations (mentor: Ellen Hebden
- Sonic and Digital Mobilities Among Folk Fusion Musicians in Contemporary Georgia
- Tess Feldman, a sophomore majoring in Stage Management, Musical Theater, and Acting (mentor: Katherine McGerr and co-researchers Eva Spaid and Sofía Peralta)
- CENTRO x SU: AGAMEMNON/AGAMENÓN
- Rio Harper, a senior majoring in visual communications and computer sciences (mentor: Jaime Banks)
- Softcoded: Open Sourced Robotics
- Sadie Meyer, a senior majoring in biomedical engineering and mathematics (mentor: Andrea Joseph)
- Investigating Polarization in Vaginal and Cervical Epithelial Cells through Shape Memory Polymer Induced-Wrinkling
The awards and recipients were:

- Award for Innovation in Undergraduate Research Support for "Research Exposure in Socially Relevant Computing (RESOURC)"

- Rodney Paul, Professor, Department of Sport Analytics
- SOURCE Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring
- Shikha Nangia, Milton and Ann Stevenson Endowed Professor, Biomedical and Chemical Engineering
- CFSA Mentor of the Year Award
