Gretchen Coleman ’22, Fulbright Study Grant Recipient to the UK, Discusses Voter ID Laws in the US and UK on the ‘’Cuse Conversations’ Podcast

Gretchen Coleman '22 is currently pursuing a master’s degree in political science, democracy and elections at the University of Manchester through the support of a Fulbright U.S. Student Program study grant. As an undergraduate in political science and political philosophy, she researched voter ID laws in the U.S. Now, she’s shifting her focus to the U.K., which is about to hold the country’s first elections where voters are required to show ID when they vote. The reason behind the policy change is a growing mistrust in the election process, and the new laws closely follow those in the U.S.
